HELIOS Orange in Metalworking | 22. 09. 2011

Locksmithery, metalworking, production of machinery or cutting by laser – all these activities belong to the activity range of the company Fluokov, which became a customer of the HELIOS Orange information system at the beginning of 2011. An interesting feature of the project lies among others in the fact that a part of the production by Fluokov is intended for one key account, whose specific requirements have to be handled by the system too, which necessitated its particular modifications.

Prior to the implementation of the HELIOS system the company had utilized a simpler information system by another supplier. To put it more precisely – there had been separate modules without deeper relations, which had not covered all the spheres of the company´s operations. Therefore the Fluokov management decided to purchase a new, comprehensive information system, of which they expected predominantly improving the information flow at the company and featuring a possibility of covering all the spheres of the company including a direct interconnection of manufacturing with the module Wages and naturally Warehouses and later Accounting.

„The terms of the new system selection procedure were set in compliance with the operation programme Enterprise and Innovation – ICT at Companies, within the framework of which the system was acquired,” explains Michal Jech, Fluokov Production Manager.

The information system HELIOS Orange by Asseco Solutions won the selection procedure. The implementation of the system was started promptly afterwards and its finish was planned as of January 2011 in view of the amount of modifications required.

When asked where he sees the benefits of the new system, Mr. Jech answers: “It is especially the interconnection of corporate processes and departments and the completeness of handling company information, which arises from it. Nevertheless meeting our customer´s atypical requirements is highly significant for us too.” And he adds: “Another one of our significant demands on the information system was a quality support of predominantly manufacturing spheres of the company, as well as the supplier´s providing service on its own, guaranteeing legislature and having a sufficient hotline support. Experience, references and a lot of additional solutions, which can be used now or in case of need in the future, were important criteria for our decision-making too.” 

At Fluokov modules have been installed which cover the complete spheres of economy, warehouses, purchasing and selling, as well as manufacturing including interlinking to TruTops software for Trumatic laser CNC machines.

The business of the company Fluokov involves locksmithery, metalworking, production of machinery for other industries and purchase of goods with the purpose of their subsequent selling. The majority of the production can be characterized as custom production and is oriented towards the European Union member states markets. In early 2006 the technologies were extended by cutting metal sheets by laser with a financial support from the programme

PHARE 2003 – TECHNOLOGIES (cf. Phare 2003) and by CNC edge-making.

In 2009 the company moved to its current premises, where it executed the first stage of the building of manufacturing and warehousing halls. By this it obtained superior and modern facilities, which enabled it to expand its production capacities.

In 2010 Fluokov employed approximately 60 employees in a two-shift operation.
